ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The Rocky River Early Childhood Center (RRECC) Beach Preschool continues to maintain the highest possible rating from the state of Ohio with another Five-Star Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) rating from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Step Up To Quality is a five–star quality rating and improvement system administered by the ODE and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. SUTQ recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed preschool licensing and school age child care licensing health and safety regulations. The program standards are based on national research identifying standards that lead to improved outcomes for children.
Programs participating in the rating system can earn a one to five-star rating. Schools that earn a five-star rating go above and beyond minimum licensing standards. Star-rated programs lay the foundation for children’s learning and development and build skills that are important for success in school and in life.
A review of Beach Preschool was conducted with an extensive on-site visit in late March and it was determined that Beach once again demonstrated that it met the standards for another five-star rating.
Beach Preschool is in session Monday through Thursday with a morning session that runs from 9:00-11:30am and an afternoon session that takes place from 12:45-3:15pm.
