RR Boys Lacrosse

BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (April 23, 2024) -- Rocky River fell to Kenston 10-9 in a hard-fought Tuesday night contest. The host Bombers outscored the Pirates 4-1 over a key seven minute stretch spanning the first and second periods, and Kenston would hold a lead until the 6:12-mark when senior captain Andrew Lang netted his fourth goal of the contest to tie the game 8-8. The Bombers scored two goals to River's one the rest of the way, snapping the Buccaneers' seven-game win streak.

Lang scored three of his goals after halftime. Michael Bebie and Dominic Ricketti each added two scores; Simon Pensom scored one.

Senior Tommy Garvey tallied four goals for the Bombers (8-4), who outshot River 30-27. Kenston put 18 shots on frame to the Pirates' 16.

The contest opened a busy week of non-conference play for Rocky River (9-2). The Pirates will play two games in the Columbus area Friday (at Bexley) and Saturday (at Olentangy Berlin).
