MEDINA, Ohio (April 20, 2023) -- Rocky River dropped its third consecutive game, as the Pirates fell to Buckeye 10-0 Thursday.

The Bucks banged out three triples and a home run as part of outhitting River 10-4. They scored in every inning of the 4-1/2-inning run-rule contest. Two Buckeye hurlers (Olivia Matras, Kwynn Czerwony) combined to scatter three singles and a double (Sienna DeMooy) without issuing a walk.

"That is a talented team we played today," said coach Jeff Hammond. "But I love the never-give-up attitude we showed out there, and that will pay dividends down the road."

Rocky River (4-6) is slated to play a Great Lakes Conference game at North Olmsted Friday.
