Good deal: Pirates play Aces and prevail 15-4

RR Girls' Lacrosse

GRANVILLE, Ohio -- Rocky River kept its win streak alive, once again dominating a contest at both ends of the field, as the Pirates defeated the Granville Blue Aces 15-4 on Friday.

In a game that marked the front end of a back-to-back in the Columbus area, the Pirates exploded for 11 first-half goals and then coasted to yet another win by a double-digit margin. River has now won five straight games of that ilk: over the five victories, the Striped Buccaneers have outscored opponents 79-10.

Overall, the Maroon & White have won seven in a row.

Ella Nejad was credited with five goals and an assist. Kaitlyn Byrne had four goals. Olivia Konopka (3G, 2A) and Alexis Tisler (2G, 2A) were also credited with multiple points.

Rocky River (7-0) will play Worthington Kilbourne on Saturday.
