HURON, Ohio -- Rocky River competed in the Edison Invitational at Sawmill Creek Golf Club on Monday.

The Pirates carded a team score of 348 in what was a 22-team event played in windy conditions on the 6,358-yard, par-71 course near Lake Erie. [Team results unavailable at time of publication.]

Luke Dietrich posted three birdies en route to an 11-over 82. Rocky River's three other counting scores (Owen Toole-88, Nick Tianello-89, Robby Lang-89) were just a shade under 90. Lang's round included a near-ace on the par-3 seventh.

Only Tianello (9-of-14) hit more than five fairways in the tough conditions.

The Pirates are slated to play a non-conference road match (Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio) against St. Edward on Wednesday.
