AVON, Ohio -- Rocky River earned a 176-197 victory over St. Edward Green Wednesday.

Nick Tianello led the Pirate effort, firing a 41 on the 3,229-yard outward nine at Red Tail Golf Club. Tianello rolled in a 20-foot putt on the 367-yard, par-4 ninth to card River's lone birdie of the afternoon. He was backed on the Double-R score sheet by Sam Vannucci (44), Wes Bennett (45), and a 46 (scored by both Luke Dietrich and Owen Toole).

"This was a good course management test for our guys," said head coach David Hendrickson. "We will see this kind of layout at Grey Hawk [Golf Club] next week in our sectional tournament."

Rocky River (11-2) has won five straight matches. The Pirates will put that run on the line Thursday in a road match against Brunswick (Pine Hills Golf Club).
