Five placers led the Pirates to a team score of 63.5, which slotted the Pirates eighth in an 11-team field. Leading the River mat men were Dylan Heffron (third at 113 pounds), Connor Schiefferle (fourth at 150), and Henry Lange (fifth at 120).
Heffron went 2-2 in the meet. The freshman grappler logged a 16-0 tech fall and pin in 1:09. He has now registered two tournament thirds in his first two prep meets.
Waynedale had 13 top-3 finishers and won the tournament with a team score of 358.5.

SIX-SHOOTERS: Placing sixth for the Pirates were Larry Jones at 165 and John Sadiku at 190.
