AVON, Ohio -- A day after earning the program's fifth straight Great Lakes Conference title, Rocky River earned a split in a double-dual against two varsity squads from St. Edward.

 

The Gold Eagles went 2-0 in the event held over the challenging 3,408-yard outward nine at Redtail Golf Club.  The Gold fired a four-man score of 161 to nip River (167) by six and the Green Eagles (178) by 17.

 

Will Bennett was solid in rallying from an opening double-bogey to record a team-best 40. John Snyder logged his best varsiy round -- a 41 -- to finish as the Pirates' No. 2 man. GLC medalist Ethan Mylett carded a 43. Mac Milenius birdied No. 9 to fire a 44.
