WESTLAKE, Ohio – Rocky River placed eighth in the St. Edward Invitational, held on Saturday at Lakewood Country Club.
Carlo Fricano and Will Bennett paced the Pirate effort on what was an idyllic day for early-autumn golf. Fricano carded an 81 over the challenging 6,501-yard, par-71 layout. He made use of River’s only two birdies on the day; both came on his outward nine. Bennett fired an 82 to finish as the Pirates’ No. 2 scorer.
River’s team score came in at 335, good for eighth in a talented field of 13 squads.
