ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- The Pirates dropped a 4-1 match to Avon at Tri-City Park on Thursday afternoon.

Sophomore Samantha Robertson carded River's lone win on the day, but its was a deep senior class worthy of accolades on what was a fine early-fall day at Tri-City. That class -- 16 deep -- was recognized as part of the program's Senior Day festivities which accompanied the match against the Eagles.

The 2021 graduating class of Rocky River Girls' Tennis is comprised of Evelyn Amsdell, Jackie Bush, Lainey Heuler, Maire Kate Hickey, Tiffany Hom, Evie Kelley, Caitlin Kelly, Maire Kelly, Rosa King, Becca Krebs, Isabel Luarde, Julia Potts, Maria Potts, Makenzie Runyon, Piper Speer, and Leanne Wattar.

The Pirates are now 5-11 on the season.
