BROOKLYN, Ohio -- Rocky River swept its way to a pair of non-conference victories on Saturday.

The Pirates (2-0) defeated Brooklyn, 65-12, and Trinity, 48-24, opening dual action in style after competing in a pair of highly-competitive tournaments the first two weeks of the season.

Matt Wiliams went 2-0 on the day, logging a pin and a win by forfeit at 106 pounds. Mohammed Salti went 2-0 at 126, recording a win by tech fall and a win by forfeit. Obaida Abazied went 2-0 with a pin at 152.

Williams is 10-2 this season.

Rocky River -- 4-18 over 22 dual meets a year ago -- will begin Great Lakes Conference action in January.
