Led by junior Luke Kishna’s ninth-place finish, River logged five top-50 performances in recording a team score of 146. That score vaulted the Pirates past Amherst Steele (158 points) for the fifth-and-final slot in moving forward in the postseason (top five teams and those individuals that finish in the top-20 advance to the regional tournament at Boardman, Oct. 26).

On the girls’ side, sophomore Samantha Coleman qualified individually by earning third place. [results] The Pirate girls carded a ninth-place finish in the team standings.
