FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio – Rocky River defeated Westlake, 159-171, on Tuesday.
Pirate golfers carded four birdies in the victory over the
outward nine at Big Met Golf Club. Rocky River (27-4) as led by Hayden Weaver
(39), Will Bennett (40), Carlo Fricano (40) and Mac Milenius (40) in taking down
the Demons.
Milenius and fellow senior Ethan Mylett here honored before the
match as part of Senior Day for the Rocky River program.
Milenius nearly celebrated a senior eagle on the par-4
second at Big Met. The senior captain rattled his second shot off the flagstick
and would later tap in for birdie.
Bennett carded birdies on both par-5s (Nos. 5 and 7) as part
of his 4-over 40.
Rocky River’s junior varsity squad dropped two in a tri-match against Medina and Highland at Medina Country Club on Tuesday. Sophomore Sam Vanucci (49) and freshman Wes Bennett (50) led the squad. The River JV is now 10-4 o the season.
