LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Rocky River split a pair of Great Lakes Conference matches on Thursday. Wresting in their second competition of the season, the Pirates downed the host Rangers, 40-24, while losing to the Parma Redmen, 51-24.

On-mat victories were earned by Ryan Maloney, Connor Scheifferle, Obaida Abazied, Aidan Konet, Nathan Maloney, Omar Abazied and John Sadiku.

"We've made big recent strides with our conditioning," said Head Coach Matt Styzc, "and it started to show tonight. We need to continue to push into our home matches on Thursday."

Those Thursday home matches will be in the form of a GLC double-dual. The Pirates (2-2) are scheduled to host Bay and Normandy.
