PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Rocky River placed seventh in Saturday's Great Lakes Conference Championships. [Results]

Four Pirates placed in the nine-team event held at Valley Forge High School. Senior Obaida Abazied carded a third-place finish at 145 pounds. Junior Omar Abazied took fourth at 160. Sophomore Johnny Bebie placed third at 182. Junior John Sadiku took fourth at 220.

Obaida Abazied's run included two pins en route to logging a 3-1 mark for the day.

Johnny Bebie's day included an impressive march through the wrestle-back. Bebie lost his opening bout to eventual champion Timothy Paxton (Fairview). He then earned a win by fall and two decisions on the way to a 3-1 day.

Omar Abazied went 1-1 with a win by forfeit. John Sadiku went 1-2 with a pin.

As a team, Rocky River tallied 47 points. Buckeye won the meet with a score of 208.5. Bay (154) finished second.
