ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Rocky River Middle School students Sophia McConville, Mattia Sturman and Mallory Tracey recently competed at the Power of the Pen Regional Tournament at Baldwin-Wallace University.
All three students received an Honors rating on their submissions, while Tracey qualified to participate at the state tournament on May 16-17 at Ashland University.
This marks the fourth year of competition for the team at RRMS. Power of the Pen empowers young people to find and develop a creative voice that is uniquely their own by engaging students in interscholastic writing tournaments and providing a platform for publication.
