ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Several Rocky River High School students received Special Recognitions at the Board of Education Business Meeting on April 11 for their academic excellence.
The recognitions included one student who earned the National African American Recognition Award, four students who received the National Hispanic Recognition Award, seven students who were National Merit Commended Scholars, and three students who were National Merit Finalists.
The recognitions are as follows:
- Resolution to Recognize National African American Recognition Award (NAARA): Oluwatomisin Kale
- Resolution to Recognize National Hispanic Recognition Award Recipients: Brianna Chaves-Bernal, Natalie Crompton, Jack Petrus, Luke Petrus
- Resolution to Recognize National Merit Commended Scholars: Nicholas Hollabaugh, Aaryan Patel, Alan Ritvo, Connor Schiefferle, Alice Situ, Sophia Vasiloff, John Weixel
- Resolution to Recognize National Merit Finalists: Daniel Capka, William Coleman, Emma Ionescu
