ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Rockay River High School student Gianna Miller has been named a finalist in the 15th Annual Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, Stop the Hate: Youth Speak Out Essay Writing Contest. Miller is one of 10 finalists in the 11th and 12th grade competition who are competing for scholarships.
This year, 3,000 Northeast Ohio students participated in the Stop the Hate contest by writing individual essays or group songs and submitting entries for their chance to win prizes. All of the entries are inspirational, celebrating the voices of young people.
The winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 19, at 7:00pm online via Zoom in a virtual ceremony.
