ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Babycakes Children’s Boutique in Rocky River recently worked with the Rocky River Education Foundation to sponsor a grant for Goldwood Primary School that enabled a building-wide shared reading event.
The book picked out was titled 8 Class Pets + 1 Squirrel ÷ 1 Dog = Chaos, by Vivian Vande Velde.
Each Goldwood student received a copy and students took part in many different activities over a two-week period. Different animals were featured from the book every day and students enjoyed this memorable activity. The whole-school read helped emphasize the importance of reading and continued to build a community of readers at Goldwood.
