OBERLIN, Ohio (Aug. 29, 2022) -- Rocky River earned its first win of the 2022 season, as the Pirates defeated the Firelands Falcons 2-1 on Wednesday.
Finishing just ahead of thunderstorms sweeping into the Oberlin area, the Maroon & White leveraged second-half scores by Charlie Russell and Fionn Harte in a come-from-behind effort.
The Pirates (1-0-2) got assists from Stephen Cain and Noah Nagy in a contest that marked the front half of River's action this week. Rocky River will play at Normandy on Wednesday.
