The Rocky River Early Childhood Center Peer Model Screening for the 2018-2019 school year is scheduled from 10:30am to 11:30am on Friday, January 12th, 2018 at Beach School. Peer models selected to participate within the special education preschool program need to be three years old by May 1st, 2018 and also be Rocky River residents.
Peer models must be typically developing in all early childhood domains. The domains include: physical motor development, social development, language and communication, vision and hearing, pre-academic, and cognitive skills development. Children learn best from each other and peer models help facilitate appropriate actions and behaviors for students with disabilities. Peer relationships are important for the social and cognitive development of all children.
