ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The Rocky River City School District will take part in Start with Hello Week from September 20-24 to help bring attention to the growing epidemic of social isolation and empower young people to create a culture of connectedness in their school and community.
Start with Hello Week teaches students the skills needed to reach out and include those who may be experiencing chronic social isolation and create a culture of inclusion and connectedness within their school and is organized by Sandy Hook Promise.
The program enables students to identify and help children who are showing signs of loneliness or isolation by taking small, but powerful, actions to promote connectedness. Throughout the week, students and teachers will participate in small but powerful actions to promote connectedness and inclusion within the school buildings.
