ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The Rocky
River Middle School Science Olympiad team had a strong showing at the state
competition on Saturday at Ohio State. The team posted nine top-20 finishes at
the event.
Eighth graders Ethan and Morgan were the
top placing team, earning a gold medal for a first-place finish in the Mystery
Architecture event. Seventh grader Alice and eighth grader Anna also earned a
medal for their sixth-place finish in the Archaeology event.
Eighth graders Cora and Morgan placed
seventh in Orinthology, eighth graders Danny and Greg were 11th in
Boomilever and eighth graders Ethan and Danny finished 16th in the
Roller Coaster.
Sixth grader Maria and eighth grader Ally
placed 17th in Anatomy, eighth grader Morgan and seventh grader
Brianna claimed 18th place in Write It-Do It and eighth graders Cora
and Alia finished 19th in Herpetology.
