ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Band
students from Rocky River Middle School recently competed in the Greater
Cleveland Middle School Solo & Ensemble Contest, earning Superior or
Excellent ratings.
A total of 21 students took part in the
event on March 2 at Strongsville Middle School. The students prepared then
performed the solo or ensemble from the classical repertoire for a professional
musician who gave the students comments and a rating.
All 21 RRMS students earned a Superior or
Excellent rating, which are the two highest on a scale of five ratings.
The following RRMS
students competed at the Greater Cleveland Middle School Solo & Ensemble. Mr.
Mike Komperda, a music teacher at RRMS, is the RRMS Band Director.
