HURON, Ohio – After being rained out on Tuesday, Rocky River returned to action on Wednesday, competing in the Edison Invitational at Thunderbird Golf Course.
The Pirates placed 17th in a 23-team field at the venue’s South Course, a 4,721-yard par-72. Rachel Baird (100), Kate McKeown (103), Lexi Aguilar (104), and Ciara Grieve (111) were River’s four scoring players.
“As a team, we struggled with our fairway woods and on the greens,” said Head Coach Rick Haag. “That’s a tough combination to battle through, but it’s a great experience for the girls – posting a number when you’re not at your best.”
The 23-team tournament was won by Ashland, which carded a
four-man score of 315.
