LAGRANGE, Ohio – The Rocky River Pirates opened 2019 play
with a victory in the Lake Erie Girls’ Golf Association Preview on Monday.
The Maroon & White carded a four-man score of 418 to take first place in the four-team field. The Pirates – defenders of three straight LEGGA titles (2016, 2017, 2018) – were paced by sophomore Kate McKeown who posted a 93. River’s other scoring players were Ciara Grieve (103), Lexi Aguilar (111) and Sarah Farling (111).
McKeown logged a team-high five pars in her round.
Rocky River’s score of 418 was more than 40 strokes clear of runner-up Keystone (466).
