ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Rocky River High School (RRHS) junior Jack Sierputowski was recently recognized for his mastery of the French language and culture at the Maison Francaise de Cleveland’s 43rd Annual Contest awards ceremony.

The rigorous competition allows advanced high school and college French students from the Greater Cleveland area to present on a topic of French culture that is important to them. Following the presentation, judges interview the presenter to assess their mastery and knowledge of the French language and culture.

Sierputowski earned a second place finish for Cleveland area high schools and received a $500.00 check for his runner-up showing.

It marked the first time a student from Rocky River has earned an award at the Maison Francaise de Cleveland contest.

Félicitations, Monsieur Sierputowski!
