Goldwood Hosts Grade 1 & 2 Spelling Bees
ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - Goldwood Primary School hosted its Grade 1 and Grade 2 Spelling Bees on Monday morning in the Goldwood Room.
 
A total of 18 Grade 1 students competed in the Spelling Bee with Ollie Church winning the event as he spelled the word "distorted" to claim the trophy and Jonah Khouri finishing as the runner-up.
 
In Grade 2, Raegan Robinson won the competition that featured 17 students competing.  Raegan approached the microphone for the final time and spelled the word "pennant" to win the competition.
 
Meyer Strauss was the Grade 2 runner-up.
