Net gain: Double-R depth on display in road win
RR Volleyball
PARMA, Ohio -- Rocky River defeated Parma, 3-0 (25-5, 25-19, 25-17), on Tuesday night. River's second shutout victory of the season (Sept. 3 vs Lakewood) was earned in a solid all-around performance with players up and down the lineup contributing.

The Pirates hit .230 in the match, with Paige Waite (eight kills, .500 hitting percentage), Samantha Young (10 kills, .291), and Molly Sheridan (five, .363) doing the most damage over the net. Waite added three service aces on a night that saw the Maroon & White register 10 as a team. The junior swatter also came up big on defense, thwarting would-be Parma kills at the net.

Taylor Spies had 15 digs against just three errors in defending the River half of the court. Austoria Miller added seven digs, three aces, and five kills.
