ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Rocky River dropped an 8-5 decision to the Lakewood Rangers in Tuesday Great Lakes Conference action.

The Pirates (5-6, 4-4 GLC) led, 3-0, after two innings but were then outscored, 8-2, over innings three, four, and five. Solid late-game pitching and defense on both sides kept the final score right there.

Dillon Bandi, Jacob Florentine, and Michael DiFranco had RBI hits for Rocky River. Anthony Ferchill reached base in 4-of-4 plate appearances (two singles, walk, hit by pitch). Hudson Wissman logged a 2-1/3-inning scoreless relief stint.

The Rangers outhit the Pirates, 10-7. The loss on a cold, breezy afternoon at Rocky River Field marked River's third straight.
