PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio (Sept. 19, 2024) -- Rocky River earned a 3-0 conquest in a Thursday Cleveland West Conference match-up at Valley Forge Thursday.
The Pirates (6-2, 6-2 CWC) prevailed 25-21, 25-16, 25-18. [game stats unavailable at time of publication]
"This was a well-earned team win," said coach Wendy Raffin. "We've been focusing on being consistent with our level of play, keeping the pressure on for an entire match. I saw that tonight at Valley Forge."
Since 2016, River has now defeated the Patriots in each of 12 matches. Eleven of those have been wins in straight sets.
Rocky River is slated to return to action with a Tuesday home match against Buckeye.
