RRCSD Offers Pantries in Each Building for Families in Need
Pantries
November 21, 2023

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The Rocky River City School District has set-up pantries in each of its five buildings, stocked with food, clothing, supplies, toiletries and other items for any family in need. Executive Director of Pupil Services Jennifer Norman started the pantries using funds from the American Rescue Plan (APR) to help families during the holiday and winter seasons.

“We are excited to offer this opportunity to our families,” Norman said. “It allows us to ensure we are serving families with any level of need.”

The pantries are filled with items such as backpacks, deodorant, soap, shampoo, detergent, food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, healthy snacks, toilet paper, paper towels, clothing, jackets and more. They are open daily at each school and students and families in the district are invited to visit the pantries and pick out what they need.

Donations of unused items will be accepted at the pantries.
