ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Rocky River Destination Imagination teams competed at the state tournament last weekend at Barberton High School. The Pirates had one team claim first place and two teams finish in third place in their respective events.
Listed below are the teams that finished among the top-3 at the state tournament.
- Team I Eat Chalk (RRMS) earned first place for their solution to the Technical Central Challenge, Middle Level (grades 6-8). The team also received the first place trophy for having the highest Instant Challenge score for the middle level division.Team members are Samuel Muzilla, Luke Barker, Aaron Gerstenhaber, Charlie Jeffers, Patrick Murray, Evan Ridgeway, and Johan Wall.
- Team Galaxy Girls (Kensington) finished third in the Scientific Challenge event. Team members are Morgan Barr, Rosie Herman, Mila Burkart, Monica Zamcheck and Elliott McIntosh.
- Team Halos & Horns (Kensington) took third place in the Fine Arts challenge. Team members are Bailey Barr, Aubrey Gurgol, Tallullah Wolverton, Keira Barker, Moey Sachs, Vivian Farkas and Lucy Fisher.
