Homecoming 2023 Recap

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - The Rocky River City School District and Rocky River PTA hosted a number of Homecoming activities leading up to the football game against Westlake on September 29.

 

The evening began with a Food Truck Tailgate at the high school, featuring Banchies Weiners and Steaks, The Manna Truck, Smokin' Rock'n Roll, Scott's Fire and Ice and Kona Ice food trucks. There was also a Pirates Cove Kids Area, a main tent area, live music and an online raffle featuring numerous baskets donated by individuals and business from the community.

 

The Homecoming Parade began at St. Christopher’s and included the Rocky River High School Marching Band, floats from each high school class and the Homecoming Court. The parade concluded at the stadium where the Homecoming Court was introduced. Hazel Allen was crowned Homecoming queen and Dan Capka was named Homecoming king.

 

The Pirates defeated Westlake, 55-28.
