RRHS Students Selected as Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Student Visionaries

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Rocky River High School students Brianna Chaves, Lilliana Roselli and Alice Situ have been accepted as a candidate team in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2023 Northeast Ohio Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Each student was nominated by the LLS leadership team, a school administrator or a staff member for their amazing leadership, passion to find a cure for blood cancers and involvement in the community.

 

Student Visionaries of the Year is the newest LLS campaign where nominated high school student leaders raise money and awareness for the fight against blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. This year’s campaign kicks off on January 27 and culminates at the Grand Finale on March 18.

 

The student who raises the most funds during this seven-week fundraising initiative will receive a $1,250 scholarship. The funds raised benefit the LLS mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.?LLS has been named one of the 2022 Brands That Matter by Fast Company!

 

Last year, the RRHS Team Girls for a Cure that consisted of Ava Blair, Alexis Haylor and Siena Roselli, was one of just seven teams to receive the LLS Impact Award for exceeding $50,000 raised.
