Fach, Woos Named Finalists for Martha Holden Jennings Awards

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Each year, the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation seeks nomination from school districts to honor and recognized educations who have earned deep respect from students and colleagues, remain intellectually alive, demonstrate leadership in their respective fields and serve as a model of excellence for the teaching profession.
 
This year, the Rocky River City School District is excited to have two finalists for these prestigious awards. Goldwood Primary School Intervention Specialist Nichole Fach is a finalist for the Ohio Master Teacher Award of Excellence, while Rocky River High School Mathematics teacher Nathan Woos is a finalist for the George B. Chapman Jr. Award for Excellence in Mathematics Education.
 
The Master Teacher Award is used for a project to benefit students in the recognized teacher’s classroom or school. The Mathematics award honors an elementary or secondary public school teacher in Ohio and is named in honor of the MHJ Foundation’s first President. The award is to be used for mathematics project to benefit students in the recognized teacher’s classroom or school.
