The Rocky River City School District and Rocky River PTA hosted a number of Homecoming activities leading up to the football game against Bay on September 23.
The evening began with a Food Truck Tailgate at the high school, featuring Banchies Weiners and Steaks, The Manna Truck, Smokin' Rock'n Roll and Kona Ice food trucks. The PTA also hosted an online raffle featuring numerous baskets donated by individuals and business from the community.
The Homecoming Parade began at St. Christopher’s and included the Rocky River High School Marching Band, floats from each high school class and the Homecoming Court. The parade concluded at the stadium where the Homecoming Court was introduced. Helen Sakai was crowned Homecoming queen and Charlie Fadel was named Homecoming king.
The Pirates defeated Bay, 22-21.
