ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The Rocky River High School Drama Department has earned nominations in the 2025 Dazzle Awards for its production of Matilda The Musical. This year’s awards will be presented on May 17 at 7:30pm in the KeyBank State Theatre. Tickets are available here.
RRHS is nominated in the categories of Best Student Orchestra and Best Supporting Actor (Gage Gray who played “Big Kid/Escapologist”).
In addition, Sydney Kolpien (Guitar) was named one of five Musical Apprentices, while Lola Weston was selected as one of four student reporters for the evening of the Dazzle Awards and will interview students during the Dazzle Awards broadcast from the Red Carpet on May 17.
The Dazzle Awards presented by Patricia and John Chapman recognizes the most talented high school performers in Northeast Ohio. The awards ceremony and showcase in the culmination of the annual Dazzle Awards program. A panel of judges attend one production at each participating school, provide feedback and determine nominees and awards for participating schools.
