CLEVELAND -- A Christian Cukon goal at 79:57 lifted Rocky River to a 1-1 draw at Benedictine Saturday.

Cukon's second career goal came off a goalkeeper save of a direct free kick put on frame by Mark Quaiser. It was a belated-yet-just-in-time counter to the Bengals' lone tally of the match which had come in the 49th minute.

The draw marked River's third of the season. The Pirates (3-1-3) will open Great Lakes Conference West Division play Wednesday when they host the Elyria Catholic Panthers in a Rocky River Stadium match at 7 p.m.
