ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – More than
200 fifth graders from Kensington Intermediate School were honored on Thursday
morning at the annual DARE Graduation program that was held at the Don Umerley
Recreation Center.
DARE is a national drug, alcohol and
violence-resistance education program. The police-officer led series of
classroom lessons teach children how to resist peer pressure and live
productive drug and violence-free lives.
Officers Camp and Schill led the courses at Kensington and attended Thursday’s graduation ceremony along with Rocky River City School District administrators, Board of Education members, city leaders, and hundreds of parents and family members.
After receiving their DARE diplomas, the
Class of 2026 and soon to be sixth graders at the middle school headed to the
Rocky River pool for an afternoon of fun and games.
