Goldwood Is Raining Nickels & Dimes
Goldwood Primary School is joining the Hurricane Harvey relief effort by collecting 19,848 coins worth $1,869.08 to send to The American Red Cross.

Organized by lunch monitor Kathy Bierman, students began tossing their nickels and dimes into a kiddie pool for the fundraiser “Goldwood is Raining Nickels and Dimes.” School Counselors Peg Liberatore said the donations will go to the American Red Cross to assist Hurricane Harvey victims.

After only two days, Goldwood students collected 105 pounds of coins and bills totaling several hundred dollars. The collection ran from Sept. 1-8.
