SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Rocky River lost to Hathaway Brown, 4-1, on Tuesday. The Trailblazers took 2-of-3 singles matches and swept the doubles in the non-conference meeting in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
Samantha Robertson cruised to an impressive victory in straight sets (6-0, 6-0). Robertson is now 4-1 on the season. She has lost just 4-of-28 games on the week; she won 6-2, 6-2, in Monday's match against her opposite (No. 1 singles) from Brecksville.
Becca Krebs and Scout Hahn gave game efforts in their defeats at second and third singles. The doubles games were also competitive, with Caitlin Kelly and Maire Kate Hickey pairing up in the first slot (a 6-1, 6-1 loss) and Makenzie Runyon and Hannah Burgess in the second (6-0, 6-2 loss).
The Double-R is now 2-3 on the season.
