BAY VILLAGE, Ohio -- Rocky River dropped a Great Lakes Conference match at Bay on Wednesday afternoon. The host Rockets won two singles and two doubles matches en route to a 4-1 victory.
Samantha Robertson defeated Lydia Herwin, 6-0, 6-0, in first singles to claim the Pirates lone win.
The River tandem of Scout Hahn and Hannah Burgess gave a game effort in second singles where they were edged, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (7).
The Pirates will host Avon tomorrow at Tri-City Park. The contest will mark Senior Day for the Rocky River program.
