WE exit front of house right /return to CR/retrieve
instruments/hold in music hall near CR
CB exit stage left (same door you entered)/head to BR/put
instrument in case and leave case at your seats – do not put them back in the
locker room. Head down old music hallway
and enter auditorium via front of house left from school hallway.
WE enters stage, as directed by Mr. Taylor, once CB is
seated in the house
WE PERFORMANCE

1,R rank & non-jazz officers
& reps - reset stage for Jazz (see charts)
WE Winds exit stage left (same door you entered)/head to
CR/put instrument in case and leave case at your seats – do not put them back
in the locker room. Enter auditorium via
front of house right from music wing.
Keep front 2 rows open for jazz musicians.
WE Perc. push all perc back to wall; stack chairs 20 to a
cart; stack stand 18-20 to a cart. Build
jazz set of 9 chairs/6 stands for saxes; 4 chairs/4 stands for bones/ 4 stands
for tpts. Bones and Tpts go on 8” platforms configured as 16’ wide x 8’ deep @
5 feet behind curtain.
FJ & JE rhythm sections -to stage -build the rhythm
section once chairs are close
FJ & JE Winds -to BR to retrieve instr. and do
personal/sectional warm ups. Mr. Taylor
will come over when stage is close and do a group tune up.
JE players will be directed into the auditorium to sit in
the first 2 rows in front of the WE
FRIDAY JAZZ PERFORMANCE
(when FJ completes their set) Sousa 1,R rank & non-jazz officers remove 4 extra sax chairs and 1 extra
stand
FJ Saxes stand up and step behind curtain line/FJ exit
stage left/exit stage door/quickly case instruments – do not put in locker
room/enter house via music wing door front house right/sit in first 2 rows in
front of WE (where the JE was).
JE exit house via front house right into music wing /
retrieve instrument/enter stage via stage left door/proceed to position behind
curtain line/when curtain opens take positions
JAZZ ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE
(when JE finishes their set)
JE Saxes stand up and step behind curtain line/JE exit
stage left
AT CONCERT’S END – ALL
PERSONAL EQUIPMENT BACK TO LOCKER ROOM.
MB Squads V, W, & X (20-30 minutes) - Tear down stage. Stands on racks (18-20 per rack) Chairs on racks (20 per rack) ALL PERC
