RRHS Earns 2 Dazzle Awards
Rocky River High School’s Drama Department earned two Dazzle Awards for Best Costume Design and Best Musical in Tier One for its production of “Monty Python’s Spamalot!”

The Dazzle Awards aim to inspire and honor excellence in high school musical theater, and to recognize the importance of musical theater and arts education within the Northeast Ohio community. A panel of judges attend one production at each participating school, provide educational feedback and determine nominees and awards for participating schools.

The Dazzle Awards are modeled after the Tony Awards and held at the Connor Palace. Winners in the Best Actor and Best Actress category have the opportunity to participate in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City.

RRHS had nine nominations, including Best Musical Tier 1, Best Actor (Cameron Morris), Best Supporting Actress (Sydney Williams), Best Ensemble, Best Choreography Execution, Best Student Orchestra, Best Costume Design, Best Set Design and Best Technical Execution. Jennifer Garver advises the department.
