Invitation to Bid: Concrete Replacement and Repair Project

LEGAL NOTICE

Rocky River City School District Board of Education

This Invitation to Bid relates to the Rocky River City School District Concrete Replacement and Repair Project ("Project"). The Project may require off-hours work (after regular business hours and on weekends) in order to maintain use of the buildings during the Project.

Sealed bids will be received by the Office of the Treasurer, 1101 Morewood Parkway, Rocky River, Ohio 44116, until 1:00 pm on July 7, 2015 for this Project.

Bid documents, specifications, and additional information may be obtained on the Rocky River City School District Board of Education’s website homepage or from Adam Sywanyk, Supervisor of Facility Operations. Mr. Sywanyk may be reached by telephone at (440) 356-6019 or by email at [email protected].

Walk–Thru/Site Visit for Bidders: June 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm, local time, at the Rocky River High School, 20951 Detroit Road, Rocky River, Ohio 44116 (meet at the Rocky River High School Main Entrance).

The Work shall include all labor and materials necessary for the proper completion of the Work. Final completion of the Project must occur no later than August 14, 2015.

The responsibility for timely and appropriate bid submission rests solely with each bidder. Sealed bids submitted by mail must be certified or registered U.S. mail with return receipt requested. All bids, whether submitted by certified or registered mail or in person, must be clearly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope with the following identifying statement: “Rocky River City School District Concrete Replacement and Repair Project”. Sealed bids received after the above-appointed date and time will not be accepted.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty or Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier’s check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. All such Bid Guaranties and Contract Bonds must comply in all respects with applicable Ohio law for public school construction projects. Bid Guaranties and Contract Bonds accompanying rejected bids will be returned upon award of the contract.

All submitted bids must comply in all respects with the requirements set forth in this Legal Notice, the Instructions to Bidders, and other Bid Documents. A bid will be considered nonresponsive if it fails to comply in all respects with this Legal Notice, the Instructions to Bidders, and other Bid Documents. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the sealed bids.

The Rocky River City School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Rocky River City School District Board of Education will award the contract for the Work to the bidder that is determined to be responsible and who submits the lowest responsive bid in accordance with Section 9.312 of the Ohio Revised Code, taking into consideration accepted alternates, if any.

The estimated cost of the Work for the Project is $60,000.
