RREF Pirates Parents Campaign

Rocky River City Schools has had another terrific year, including numerous individual awards for teachers, students and student groups in academics, the arts and athletics. These achievements do not occur by luck or good fortune. They occur because of the talent and dedication of our teachers, staff and administrators, and the hard work of our students.

Our School District is also successful because parents, the community, and local businesses support our schools, giving them the resources necessary to provide our children with a superior public school education. The mission of the Rocky River Education Foundation is to help further enhance the quality of the educational experience our children receive. We primarily carry out our mission by funding grants which provide teachers and students with opportunities to expand the learning experience both inside and outside the classroom.

The Foundation is once again conducting our Pirates Parents Campaign. We are asking each family with a child in the District to donate $25 (or whatever amount fits your budget) to the campaign by June 15th. Every dollar of your tax-deductible contribution will fund grants which will directly benefit our students beginning this fall. Thanks in part to your support of last year’s campaign, the Foundation was able to fund over $48,000 in grants and $15,000 towards an authors series during this current school year. If every family with a child in the district donates $25 to the Pirates Parents Campaign, we will be able to raise an additional $10,000 for grants!

There are two ways to donate to the Pirates Parents Campaign:

  • By check payable to RREF/Rocky River Education Foundation and mailed to Rocky River Education Foundation, 1101 Morewood Parkway, Rocky River, Ohio 44116.
  • Donations can also be made via PayPal on the Foundation’s website at www.rredfoundation.org/donations

On behalf of the Foundation, I urge you to join us in our Pirates Parents Campaign to help ensure that our children continue to receive an award-winning education that meets the highest goals for “globally competitive, exceptional opportunities, caring environment and successful students.”

With many thanks and warm regards,

Michelle Pike

President RREF
