Congratulations to 7th and 8th grade choir students and 8th grade band students from Rocky River Middle School who performed and competed at the Music in the Parks Contest on Saturday, May 16th in Sandusky. Each group performed for 2 judges who were college professors or other music professionals.
Our three student ensembles each received the First Place award in their divisions. The Choir 8 and Band 8 students earned Superior ratings and the Choir 7 students earned an Excellent rating.
The students competed early Saturday morning, then they were able to spend the rest of the day having fun with their friends and chaperones at Cedar Point. They enjoyed celebrating their diligent work during the past school year.
