On Tuesday March 31, juniors Jack Corrigan, Evan Nugent, and Eric Jones attended a one-day leadership and character development course put on by the National Football League. The juniors were selected from a pool of upcoming seniors from around Northern Ohio. The three were selected based on G.P.A., prior leadership activities, and recommendations from area coaches.
While at the course, the juniors learned valuable lessons from former NFL players and current Cleveland Browns Head Coach Mike Pettine. From classroom work, volunteering at the Cleveland Food Bank, and finally working hands on in leadership scenarios, the students had a great experience. These lessons learned will be passed on to not only their teammates but also their classmates.
