Call for Volunteers: 2015 Strategic Plan Review

The District will begin its Strategic Planning Update process to prepare for the next 5-10 years of the plan. The process will remain stakeholder-driven; internal and external stakeholders will review the progress made during the first five years of the plan, and realign the direction for our continued pursuit of excellence in Rocky River.

Superintendent Dr. Michael Shoaf has characterized the process as an opportunity to draw on the wealth of talent in Rocky River, using "collective genius" to identify and review the opportunities and challenges ahead in the coming years.

The Core planning team will deliberate on presentations based on the results of the work accomplished in the six strategic areas since the plan's debut in the fall of 2009: Communications, Curriculum and Co-Curriculum, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources and Technology. The Core Planning Team will meet during the day on March 12 and 13, 2015, and during the evening of May 19, 2015.

Six Action Planning Teams, one for each of these six strategic areas, will take the Core Planning Team's charge of revising the results for each strategy for implementation over the next 5-10 years. Action Planning Teams will meet for four evenings: April 20, 217, May 4, 11, 2015.

Community members interested in participating on one of the 7 teams for the District's strategic planning process are encouraged to complete the interest form by January 23, 2015. Please contact Elizabeth Anderson, Assistant Superintendent, for more information: 440-356-6001.
